Hi Alon,

I was at a pro Palestinian march in London yesterday with 150,000 other people according to the organisers. I heard some of the most awe inspiring speeches from the podium I have heard in my life. At times there were tears streaming down my cheeks. I felt I was amongst 150,000 good people of all races. But one speaker dropped in a comment "the thug Putin", another "the brutal dictator Assad". Both comments saddened me. It seems that either some of the speakers did not understand the bigger empire picture you have outlined and should be clear to anyone who studies the history of the events in the Middle East and Russia/Ukraine, or they have a particular angle of their own. Iran was not even mentioned and seems to be taboo. I'm wondering how much there is a fear of publicly joining the dots, and that in a way it is acceptable to talk about Palestine but absolutely taboo to publicly support for or show understanding of Iran, Syria or Russia perspectives.

To me this says the pro-Palestine cause is already being infiltrated by Western intelligence agencies. Meaning is political and cultural cowardice, but probably also, or mainly, subversion

How is Putin not a thug?

In the way he draws limits to Western expansionism

Putin is 100% a thug. The enemy of my enemy is my friend is a poor excuse of moral code

As always, so very thankful for your insight.

It is a given that -- as a rule -- US imperial interests will be anti-Assad for all the reasons anyone paying attention to history will immediately understand. But I lacked a way of understanding the key question: why restart the dirty war *now*? What explains the (impossible) coincidence of the renewal of the CIA-backed attack on Syria on the very same day as the "ceasefire" is announced in Lebanon?

I think you offer a depressingly plausible answer rooted in American partisan politics: if the Democrats can engineer a conflict in which the Russians can be identified as allies of the enemies of Israel, then they can be tarred as enemies of Israel themselves -- in which case then the Russians must also, by the rules of Adelson/Trump $$$, be branded as enemies of the US itself. So Trump is forced to fight Russia and abandon peace in Ukraine if he is to maintain his bootlicking fealty to his zionist donors. The two conflicts are wedded and the neocons get the double bonus, keeping both Russia and Iran in the crosshairs.

Ugh. My brother... many thanks as always for bringing me clarity. However depressing, it's always better to be armed with the truth. Blessings to you and your family

I think you’re pretty much bang on the point .

Syria has been a constant target 🎯 because of the Iranians presence and Russia also wrong footed the west there years ago . I feel Ukraine was payback for that , and now it looks like they will try to up the stakes again in Syria while Iran and Russia and Hezbollah are all on the back foot. It’s been the hall mark of Western politics since the Afghan - Soviet war to cultivate Alphabet terror orgs . Their timing is always impeccable . A tell tale sign here would be a newly named rebranded force of ex IS , sterilised for western consumption, emerging in Syria .

Syrias issues are real and Assad is a cruel ruthless man no doubt about it, but western intervention always means more chaos , more “Islamist” terror and more displacement of millions of ordinary people .

The future does look bleak .

On a side note , for well over 20 years different “psychics “ and mediums have been repeatedly talking about a war that will put Russia x Israel and lead to cataclysmic events. Weird how these things over such a long time slowly painfully take shape almost as if foreseen ….

Excellent analysis and exactly describes what is sadly happening . I agree 100% I just wish that US cans the western allies could live alongside the rest of the world without the need to dominate

this is a continuation of the dirty war on Syria, the US UK using their Al Quada proxies to prevent Syria helping Lebanon

I’m glad you addressed this, Alon. I’m sure it’s confusing for a lot of people who haven’t been paying attention. Don’t forget that the so-called rebels who ‘invaded’ Idlib spoke Uzbek not Syrian. Somewhere in the discombobulating scene that’s unfolding must also involve Turkey. There are a lot of snakes making a play in West Asia. 2024 is the year of unmasking. My only consolation is knowing that the US likes to stick to their old tricks to win and their moves will be predictable.

Thank you for making sense of the strange happenings of the last few days. The kind of pivot from Lebanon to Syria must tell us something significant is happening. What might Lebanon gain from this change of focus? If your plausible ideas are correct, Israel must also appreciate the cover that an escalation in Syria will provide for them to accelerate the Gaza Genocide and annexation of the West Bank, and to begin the process of removal of the Palestinian people. Would the quick annexation of the West Bank also remove a major priority from Trump's agenda?
