I agree that Trump does not strike me as somebody who seems to be cut off from the emotional effects of mass murder like other leaders including our very own kiostarma who seems totally psychopathic. Trump is a very strange character and certainly a narcissist but I notice, I don't watch that often, but when I do he often says I don't want people to be killed, I don't want thousands of people to die, he says it about Ukraine, he says it about the Middle East and I actually think he means it. The problem is he's got a lot of mad people around him and according to Scott Ritter he does not know who to take advice from. Many of them are ill prepared for the job they've got now and are just basing everything on their own biases, so Trump is in a bit of a box of quandary.
Just a short post script to my post..... You said yourself halfway through this video that the Israel Lobby helped Trump get elected so of course he's beholden to them, at least to some degree maybe not as much as others, but if they funded him to get elected then clearly there's payback time.
One thing I don't really agree on is that Trump is completely free of the institutions of state. I'm sure you're not saying that, not that simplistically and I do agree that he seems to be unconcerned about the press coverage but presidents come and presidents go as we all know, but the Deep State remains and I'm thinking here of the WEF, the Bilderberg Group the military industrial COMPLEX, the CIA, the Rockefellers and the Rothschilds, City of London and all of those that make up that elite group.... I'd forgotten George Soros as well. This is a vast and very complex network of money laundering, narcotics and human trafficking and goodness knows what else across the whole world probably including Russia and China but I don't know. There are many others as we all know, the pharmaceutical industry the Technocrats etc. These are the people that rule the West if not the world and I don't know how they "disappear" because I agree with you, things are changing there's no doubt about it and all the other commentators I see such as Pepe Escobar Jeffrey Sachs, Scott Ritter, John Helmer and many many others are saying exactly the same thing as you but the problem is the power behind the throne. I would be very interested Alon, if you have a response to this at some time and anybody else who also would like to respond
I hope this hasn't already been posted I've had a problem with sending messages. I'm asking about the evidence that the jihadis from Syria have sided with the Yemenis after having been sent to start a ground invasion. Also surely the other countries in the Middle East such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE and so on would naturally go against the ethnic cleansing of Gaza because they don't want lots of immigrant Palestinians on their territory, surely this is a selfish view rather than a magnanimous one.
This is a great piece and very encouraging (end of 'Israel' and all that). I would slightly differ on two things: 1. Yes, Trump is a narcissist and yes, he'd take money from anyone who'd get him into office. Just not sure that would have been Machiavellian move though, is he that bright? As a narcissist he just turns to face wherever the sun is....so that it's always shining on him. And as he isn't a psychopath (like Netanyahu, Johnson, Starmer, Blair and Biden) he won't - as you say - feel comfortable with the Gaza slaughter. He also wants the Nobel Peace Prize - which he isn't going to get from his Russia-Ukraine efforts.
2. The control still stems from the Crown Corp City of London. US is a colony, a rabid dog that did its dirty work for the British Establishment/ex-East India Company etc and 'Israel' was another colony - in part created to help control a US finding its own path and therefore eventually breaking from Britain's colonial grip (which I believe is what's happening now). Zionism was 'invented' and encouraged to appeal to the narcissism of European 'Jews' who wanted to believe they hailed from the Levant and were chosen by God. They were chosen alright - by the Crown Corp City of London/British Establishment as human shields for the colonial project. If Netanyahu's actions didn't suit the monsters hiding within and obfuscated by the 'British Establishment/Crown Corp' - he'd have been assassinated by now. To them, it's just business. And with no worthy adversaries (having murdered any individuals who took them on) in numbers to challenge them or to take them down, they alleviate their boredom with mass blood sacrifices paid for and carried out by their serfs.
Well, there are 8BN of us, 10,000 of 'Them' and millions of enablers. Statistically therefore, The End is whatever we decide. Time to take hold of the reins....
And this spot on: ''And at the last, and we have seen this week in the UK Parliament,
there's no institution and no country I despise more than the UK. The devil's actual mother. People are beginning to speak up. And this tendency to always escalate and do more, it wasn't enough for Israel that it has killed tens of thousands or maybe hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.''
Prof Jeffrey Sach's said most of the world's troubles have their origin in the UK.
Interesting thing happening in the UK with slowly, and gingerly, national newspapers are creeping out to express criticisms of Israel. Only now, because of the shocking images emerging from the brave, remaining journalists and doctors in Gaza, do they feel brave enough. Often they are still obfuscating and continuing to two-side the issue. Like Omar Al Akkad predicted:
“One day, when it’s safe, when there’s no personal downside to calling a thing what it is, when it’s too late to hold anyone accountable, everyone will have always been against this,” the journalist Omar El Akkad wrote. When that day comes, nobody can pretend they didn’t know. ''
As always, love and appreciate your words, perspective, insights, inspiration. And agree about the popular base underlying Trump the strongest, most independent (not tied to one of the wings of the uniparty) since Kennedy. But I can't grant Trump any more than that in comparison. Kennedy was a lifelong student of the dynamics in the area and for years respected/supported Arab and other "third world" desires for sovereign independence. Zionists grudgingly, not enthusiastically, supported him in 1960. He wasn't packaged as a "messiah." At all. We see what happened to him after he didn't hold up "his part of the bargain." Fear Trump is nothing but ego and $$. Those can always be flattered or bought.
I sense that Israel has overplayed their hand, but that may not stop them; in all their hubris and arrogance, they may not be able to read the tea leaves.
To echo you, I heard an opinion about Trump during the election that stood out. Whoever it was said ‘he’s business evil, not DC evil.’ And there IS a difference. It’s not a better or worse or right or wrong, just that there’s a difference to be observed in military evil and economic.
Second, Trump gives what he says he will. Transactional. He tries, and then rids himself of the obligation. For example, we saw Elon in the Oval Office every day. He says ‘you helped me, here you go.’ Then after awhile, Trump keeps moving saying he made good on the deal. He mentioned the Adelson billionaires making the most requests in his last term… this time around it feels like ‘ok, I gave you this West Bank aggression or whatever and you can’t keep asking for more. I made good on my end.’
To your point, his agenda is his. And there’s always room for it to change based on the latest offers on the table. He’s not in full-follow-through-to-the-end on anyone else’s agenda as a result of donations. Unless you bring new something-in-it-for-him offer. He’s past the $1B from a few months ago.
Thank you Alon for another excellent thought provoking video. Frances
This is very good, Alon. However, you do repeat yourself a lot in this long video

Well said. My own thoughts too, but better articulated. What's the end though?

Liberals: brain dead, soul dead... so true.

Wonder whose paying for these supposed jihadi mercenaries?
Besides they’ve probably been in training for years, for it’s not possible to send untrained mercenaries to war.
I sense that Israel has overplayed their hand, but that may not stop them; in all their hubris and arrogance, they may not be able to read the tea leaves.
Well that got me through my ironing.
I’m listening a second time. It’s packed!

Alon, the more you explain, the more respect I have for Hamas for fighting the Zionist entity, and you didn’t even mention Hamas.
And the Yemenis.
You give humanity hope. Let us hope that the Samson option is not an option for Israel.
