Shame is Dead. Zionism Killed it
When 'Two Nice Jewish Boys', laugh and giggle as they describes the final extermination of the Palestinian people, the horror movie is approaching its conclusion
Despite the wide appeal of genocidal incel content, I’d never heard of the podcast named ‘Two Nice Jewish Boys‘ before yesterday (ingeniously they try to convey they are not so nice, do you get it? Because obviously, that’s what people associate with Zionist supporters of apartheid and ethnic supremacy).
Call me narrow-minded.
When I first saw some clips of the duo, I unconsciously assumed they were creating satire about the ease of genocidal discourse in Zionist circles. Here. judge for yourselves. Listen to this

So I was sure, for one blessed moment of residual naivety, that it was said in jest, to mock how Israelis sound when they get full genocide.
But then I realized it was serious.

We are not astonished by anything ‘pro-Israel’ say any longer. We’ve heard everything. Netanyahu himself said Amalek on the very first day of this, and almost every senior politician and public figure in Israel said it at least once since. It has become so common we hardly ever notice it anymore.
But something about these two still managed to circumvent our defenses. Maybe it was the screaming nerdy whiteness of this pair or the American accents, the Shutterstock design of the setting, or the beer bottle carefully placed on a designated coaster (the eternal sign of spontaneous, fun, shared consumption of alcohol in a home environment).
These two individuals look like the two most untouched-by-life people you’ll ever be unlucky enough to meet, yet they sit in their hellish version of a fun environment and giggle while they express their wish millions of people die a violent death.

No Palestinian or Muslim would ever allow themselves to be heard verbalizing such fantasies online; if they did they would not only be seen as legitimate targets for assassination, but would be banned from the internet for life, and used in an ad by ADL to remove from public life every last sane American running for office.
They would very probably be used to make the US stand on the final annihilation of Palestine and open and declared policy.
These two issue a clarification in which they reiterate their genocidal wishes, and will go on with their lives unperturbed.
The bigger story
But the broader conversation is a lot more important than a couple of idiots with podcasting gear.
On this broader subject, what I find exceedingly baffling and worrying, and see as a huge red flag for Israeli society (or, frankly, all proponents of Zionism), is the complete comfort and ease with which the most obscene and insane things are casually said.
Under the guise of ‘standing with Israel‘ people feel completely free to verbalize the utter destruction, annihilation, and extermination of the whole Palestinian people, alongside Iran, Syria, and the entire Middle East, if needs be. They not only have no problem thinking it, they have no problem saying it on record.
It's as if no concept of 'other' exists in Zionist societies: not the ‘other’ they wish to directly evaporate from existence, but also, and equally (or even more) as worryingly, not the 'other' embodied as an almost constant imagined onlooker in virtually every human being as part of our psychology.
We always have an imagined other's gaze in our consciousness: that’s why we're capable of feeling shame, so we don't say or do terrible things. We feel this gaze of society, or humanity, all the time. It’s part of being human and connected to the network of humanity. It is a vital component of social and individual existence.
It is better, without a doubt, to be moral out of the recognition of the necessity of goodness, and a humanitarian and universally compassionate vision; but shame is there and we can't deny it. It's a powerful force in the human psyche.
But Zionism, probably because of the public nature of its sins, especially in this genocide, and because of the unshakable support it gets from the most dominant political, financial, cultural, and military forces in the Western world, seems to have relived its believers of this sacred element of humanity.
This feels to me like narcissism in its terminal phase, where not only cruel self-interest is enacted without any compunction, but where no facade is even maintained for an audience.
If this were a horror movie, say A Nightmare in Elm Street, this would be the stage where the dream-reality barrier is no more, making Freddy Krueger always present and visible.
The monster is not hiding anymore, or can’t be concealed by denial.
My God. Thank you for this framing. The shamelessness and sociopathy on display is jaw-dropping. How does one even counter such a perspective ? How does one even attempt to remind such people that destruction of the other inevitably, irrevocably, as a matter of cause and effect, leads to the terrible destruction of one’s self ?
Than you. An eloquent and frightening analysis.
Frightening because over the last 10 months we have seen Israel’s aspirational genocidal dreams enacted with demented glee upon the bodies of Palestinians. As if they say wonderingly to themselves, “I cannot believe that the world lets us get away with whatever we wish to do, and further, they are the ones who make it entirely possible through their undying support of our most extreme and destructive fantasies.”
It is as if a demonic force, once held somewhat in check, has now almost completely seized possession of the Israeli soul. As the fantasies of total destruction grow ever stronger, any small remaining fragments of innocence within are in danger of being overcome, drowned in blood.
