Nina, the American project is a total lie. We murdered the native population and now support Nazi Jews because domestic lobbies demand fealty to the fascist Jewish State. We incinerated the Japanese not to stop a war, but to send a message to the Soviet Union. Which by the way the (Soviets) saved us from a German takeover. This country is the biggest piece of bullshit in the history of the globe. Every post WW 2 misadventure has been a total loser. Fuck the empire. Viva a benign America!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for the insightful article, Alon. I must admit, the concept of the 'new Jew' is new to me. Very informative read indeed. Oh and I had no idea Tarantino lives in Tel Aviv!

Is the IDF's strength its air force? They do not seem to be doing well on the ground in Lebanon or Gaza. Do you know how they do in water?

They know how to hoodwink stupid Americans into thinking that they are somehow an extension of goodness. These people are evil Jewish Zionists who came from jahenim into the real world. Send them back.

When your veteran status is centered around shooting kids throwing stones and being a jail guard in a prison, you suck. Have they ever backed us up? Have these cheap bastards, for all the money we have given them, ever jumped in with us????? We have no defense treaties with them, and they sank the USS Liberty. Our sworn enemies. And if the Iran thing blows up? They will eat Matzo Balls in Tel Aviv while our guys die. They spy on us, kill our civilians, and boast about their superiority. OK. Use your own money.

Thanks, friend Alon.

Naomi Klein notes, in her book Doppleganger, that belief in human perfection is an easy route to fascism. It opens the way for someone to define what perfection is, how to achieve it, and who is closer to achieving it than others. There's no relevance in whether a pilot's perfection IS true. All that counts is whether enough people accept it AS true. If enough define a situation as real, it's real in its consequences.

One consequence is the hierarchy of perfection you laid out here. And the reign of terror that comes with trying to remove anything that's a hindrance to achieving perfection as the powerful have defined it.

It's a good reference, I see it a little differently, as related to colonialism and white supremacy in general - I'm writing about it much more in the book I'm working on

Good point. Colonialism and empire can't exist without defining one people as superior over another. There's something about the first half of Origins of Totalitarianism here, but I'm too fatigued to find it!

When and where can I buy your book?

Wow. I didn't know about Tarantino, but it's unsurprising. There was always something about his "artistic sensibilities" I disliked, unlike the majority of my social universe who practically idolized him. "Inglourious Basterds" is probably his "homage" to Zionism.

Ah, Top Gun-style pilot worship. The elite of the elite. We Americans have more than our fair share of that. Dubya landing that plane on the carrier, John McCain, hundreds of movies about the glories of flying warplanes...

Well, there was a time when the fighter or bomber was THE most advanced and effective ay to project power from a distance, but the technology has changed. Now fighter jets are becoming like wooden sailing ships when ironclads were invented--still very prestigious, but only if they stayed away from the New Weapon.

That's why the Israelis didn't fly over Iranian airspace, BTW. Reality is sinking in, even in Tel Aviv.

Although I concur with Alon’s description of this reality in the Israel (things may have changed a little) I ask myself the question how much of it was implanted in people's minds by imperialists? Was it something that grew organically from within Israeli (Jewish) society or was it an import that had to be suggested, in a form of a bait for people to swallow? By asking this I do not wish to remove responsibility from the people who took the bait (they ARE responsible) but rather to understand how it came to be this way and what is the role of manipulation by vested interests in the course of history. Clearly there must be here a shared responsibility between the “bribe” giver and the taker.

I believe it's a combination. It was DIRECTLY imported by the state's founders. The society of the state was inorganic and externally created in the first place. Some very cursory examples:

Thanks Howard, well this goes in line with my personal feeling that Israel has very limited *internal* meaning. It was my ongoing feeling throughout my life in Israel that I was pulled by EXTERNAL forces (which I could not see that had any relevancy to me or to normal life at large). That said, I am impartial to some "theories" that include mysticism etc. To me at least, it is the usual money and power that contains most if not all the components of this fraud.

What is puzzling (a little) is how is it that 3 generations of Israelis are sending their kids to die(!) in a fight which they don't (really) feel(?) that it is organic in nature… If it is imported (by leaders and others) then this should have been a serious reason to suspect fraud is at the heart of Israel. And yet Israelis in the millions fell for it and are still falling for this fraud.

To my knowledge I hold a 'non-standard' view in this and not many people want to entertain this. With every passing year this realisation only gets stronger. I am an open-minded person with no agenda so the only thing that matters to me is (1) what is the truth behind Israel and (2) how can we explain it in terms of logic and science.

As it stands I am left with the fact that Israelis (and Arabs) were sold on an external agenda whereby Zionism (the practice not the theory) is an elaborate *fraud* to hide the direction of empire in this LONG-TERM supply of oil and the control of this natural resource as per the agenda of empire. This explains the cast-iron-guarantee west has given to Israel since inception. All that Israel needs to do from that point onwards is to build the "Jewish" festival around this to create more and more chaos (but not too much). In this way the west has full control of the area and its strategic value to them. That said I am open minded to any other way of explaining this tragic chapter in history.

The internal dynamic of Israel HAS still some interest too. But most people prefer not to examine the external constrains of the whole story which without them we can't really explain the why & how of Israel.

.... conditions like this, the vulnerability of aviation power, could become a motivation to move (or restore) the solutions' emphasis, from money and weapon power to international rules and institutions as the deeper ground that overrules independent initiatives. What are other conditions to motivate this shift to occur?

Over confidence kills. Israel cannot win not even with the US empire's help. The US cannot defeat Russia, Iran, or China but that's not going to stop them from trying. The US military has a man power issue. They recently made draft registration automatic. I keep thinking about the Vietnam war and the fall of the Roman empire.

Another excellent insight to Israeli culture that you have given your readers, Alon. I haven't seen anyone else who made this point about the Ashkenazi supermacy factor. As one of the Mizrahim, did you feel like you could never earn a set of wings like the glorious European-looking pilots? Like black American kids in the 1960s would realise they couldn't be one of those Apollo astronauts. I've read accounts from African-Americans that having the character of Uhuru on "Star Trek" gave them a feeling of inclusion in the Space Race race-dynamics, though....

Americans and their unshaken belief in their entetainment is something, I tell you. We all knew that Mizrahi boys need not bother ever dream about becoming pilots; there was no point. I never met a Mizrahi kid who even wanted to be a pilot.

Per CNN report, “Israel’s military leaders are signaling that the country has achieved all it can militarily in Lebanon and Gaza, and it’s time for the politicians to strike a deal.” But Bibi is promising “absolute victory”. I think if Iran is to strike hard, they should make certain that it’s enough to cure Zionists of their ill conceived myths about their supremacy and grand illusions of a ’greater Israel’.
