The Democratic elites are a gang of mostly old hacks who still believe they are living in the 90s world order and who still insist on liberalism (particularly imperial liberalism on geopolitics and Wall Street-big donors-college elites-neoliberalism domestically), identity politics and the same old clichés about how bad Trump is. But liberalism and the US hegemony is over and we're going through a big change of paradigm worldwide.

Trump, on the other hand, understood that and represents a big change in the GOP, at least on his speech. He is a populist, he (claims) he despises the neocons (which is almost the same thing as liberal imperialist, btw), he hates the Bush administration and, also, he claims that he will end wars and US interventions. Is that sincere? Of course not. Is he going to stop neoliberalism domestically? Probably not. He might even go further with that along with his Heritage Foundation friends. Maybe, to compensate, he may set some tariffs and end some free trade agreements.

But Democrats won't even say anything even close to that. And, funny enough, when they do, they win. When Biden showed a little bit of support for unions, the result was astonishingly good. When a Democratic candidate campaings with a bold populist platform to take on billionaires, they win. When they show they believe in *something*, they win (Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib are good examples).

Democrats should have given a big U turn a long time ago. Probably with Bernie in 2016 or even in 2020. But he didn't have the guts and the Dem establishment got away with it.

The results are for everyone to see.

Trump has only 2 choices:

1) Go for change but they will try to assassinate him over and over again

2) Pick those Neocons like Pompeo and act as if....and stay alive.

We shall see...

US voters with concern for Palestine were placed in a no-win situation in this election. Understandably, it was impossible to vote for what's-her-name (it may begin with a C or a K or something...) after having seen what the Dems are truly capable of in terms of their inhumanity. Trump offers no hope in this regard either. So, both parties being equally bad, I think people were slightly more drawn to the Republicans purely because they seem a little more authentic overall and more straightforward and honest in terms of how depraved they are.

The Democrats occupy the space of an opposition to the Republican Party, which had very much been the party of the wealthy and powerful until Trump became its face and a large segment of that power hopped over to the Democrat side. In the meantime representation for the 99% is in small scattered groups that get bullied or pressured back into major parties so that organizing against warmongers and exploiters remains toothless.

It is a Good Cop, Bad Cop routine that ensures the country is divided into a tense 50/50 stalemate, wherein the balance always tips when it is convenient for the wealthy to get what they want, but the politicians whose families party together can claim they're fighting for America. The officials within the Democratic Party will be fine, they will enjoy another four years of fundraising on "Trump bad."

You wonder "will Trump follow through with a promise he made to go to war with Iran, on behalf of Israel." That's where Trump's flittery personality will be an advantage for the majority of the world that doesn't want lots more death.

Trump does not follow through with things. He will make announcements about things but he doesn't have the political skills to get them carried out. He's accustomed to being a corporate Big Boss Man who tells underlings to do something and they follow through. It takes a lot more work to gin up a war than merely saying "do this, boys." realPresident Dick Cheney was good at pulling bureaucratic strings to get the war machine rolling in the 2000-2003 period because he had been an insider for so long. When Trump, admirably, wanted to pull U.S. troops out of their illegal Syrian occupation at the end of his first term, he didn't have the smarts to ensure that happened, so the military was able to stall until his term ended. Kicking off a major war takes even more work than ending a minor incursion.

Can he do it? Nah, there will be other bright shiny objects that grab his attention. Even if Trump appoints murderous war-mongering underlings along the lines of John Bolton, they won't be able to create a war in a snap. I predict Trump's short attention span, and his declining mental faculties (even though they're not as bad as Biden's) will be the greatest thing for world peace in however many years he has in power before some physical health aftereffects from Covid catches up with his obese arse and we haveta get used to saying "President Vance."

All sounds very reasonable. But if Iran and Israel are already at each other’s throat, with so many US troops already in the region, the impetus for war is already there

That's heartfelt, and I know there are many American lefties who feel the same way. It has been a terrible year, and the international consequence are just beginning to unfold

I think the party political angle misses the real driving forces which are unelected bodies driving US politics . The Zionist lobby is clearly one key stakeholder of a few . The showdown is being set up for conflict with Iran which is the final denouement of the Netanyahu decades. But like his western counterparts he too is a puppet with moved by puppet masters from from the realms of elective politics. Their Messianic aims converge well with private interests as they have done for centuries . The usual culprits don’t need naming.

The result is likely to be extensive destruction to the global economy from which there will be many winners and many more losers and a massive loss of capital from the masses to the unelected elites .

We face the realisation of decades of conspiracy theories about one world government , deliberate depopulation and massive flows of capital to the wealthy becoming more manifest realities .

Covid was the first big reverse distribution of wealth. War with Iran will result in the second mass flow of capital.

ultimately the Messianic pyromaniacs in the U.S. evangelical movements and Israel’s right wing are converting their long held nebulous aims into concrete realisation . The recapture of the Holy Land, the rebuilding of the Temple , the Apocalypse and the coming of the Messiah.

All of the signs appear to point to a forcing of prophecy coming within our lifetimes .

Trump like many of these figure heads a servant of an invisible government.

Whether Trump whether Harris the final outcome is a matter of time and delay only .

War with Iran is the trigger for a conflict of much deeper and darker intent than we can rationally imagine. There are much greater forces at work than the mere politicians who appear to represent but have little control on the process being set into motion .

We are entering a period of darkness and should ready ourselves for difficulties we are not keen to face or have to experience but days of change are here and we all must face this with composure and courage . This is the least we can do living in the relative safety of the west

P.S. to my earlier comment, "With Donald Trump on his way back to the White House, Project Esther —a blueprint to target pro-Palestine and anti-war Americans with RICO and counterterrorism laws, from the same people who brought you Project 2025— is laid out, waiting for him." https://x.com/zeteo_news/status/1854267495714111955?s=61&t=pjVMxsbFiABiIfXmlA300g.

Even those who voted Trump must know deep down that they gave Trump the Presidency but they DON'T REALLY KNOW WHY. They DO NOT! It is some sort of cultish spectacle of belief in AMERICA for *both* democrats AND republicans. They ALL believe that "America will provide".... They believe it. Believe in the ceremony, believe in the music, believe in the big flag.

I also believe America will provide - but for whom??...

A more accurate name for them is “Plutocrats”, not “Democrats”. Harris was just a cosplay democrat with no substance which everyone could see. Another Trojan horse for the neoliberal warmongering elite.

When people are being defrauded by rogue tradesman they KNOW that a fraud has taken place. But if a state mechanism is defrauding us (like when a party doesn't have anything real to offer the citizenship) we do not regard this arrangement as fraudulent. Why? Until we start scrutinizing the state and inspecting it for its day-to-day functionality and responsibilities we are neglecting our duty as citizens, as parents, as decent human beings. Forget politics, I am talking mechanics.

You are absolutely correct in pointing to the fact that democrats have lost the plot but this goes beyond party politics. It’s the *entire* state mechanism which is rotten to the core. This mechanism is ours (allegedly) and it supposed to work for us. And when it doesn’t we have a fraud. Why we won't see this – I do not know.

Is the fact that a flag is being dandled in front of our face supposed to change our judgement?

Will Americans recognize something basic is out of sync? Most chances No – the symbols of the state, the flag, the white house, the statue of liberty, the army, all those hypnotic objects will continue to bamboozle and delude everyone into the usual barbarism. I know, it’s not very optimistic on my part but I haven’t yet seen signs to the contrary. And I have seen exactly the same pattern before, in the land of IS NOT REAL (Israel).

What's most sad for me, personally, is that I cannot relate to or support my liberal friends (of decades) who are in grief & outrage today. I saw this coming a year ago when my former liberal Democratic paradigm began dissolving, much like the wicked witch (of the west) who could not survive when cold, clear water was thrown upon her. Biden & Harris, both stooges for Netanyahu, just couldn't see the trap they were setting for themselves (pride goeth before a fall). This Is Karma unfolding: the right-wing, racist & fascist Israeli regime this administration supported for more than a year has claimed its prize: Trump! And now we have our very own fascist!

Those people who are in grief & outrage are out of touch.

75 % of US children are living in poverty.

However Dems don´t get it. They never will.
