If you look at the history of Zionism from an idiot’s perspective, meaning that of formal narratives, you see nothing but spectacular success. Zionists succeeded in getting the Balfour Declaration from the British Empire; they succeeded in sabotaging and making the nascent Palestinian national identity of the early 20th century ineffectual; they succeeded in creating the framework for a state under British Mandate; they succeeded in expelling Palestinians, establishing a state and having it internationally recognized in 1948.

They succeeded in defeating the Arab militaries and expanding their state in 1967; they succeeded in negating the international opposition to the settlement movement, and also in guaranteeing each and every Western establishment became Zionist above all else, including the US in its political and cultural entirety.

They succeeded in driving the PLO out of Lebanon in the 1980s; they succeeded in creating a Palestinian Authority which is their puppet regime; they succeded in getting the US to fight a series of wars in the Middle East and Africa (where they succeeded in infiltrating a huge number of resource-rich countries); they succeeded in taking over almost the entirety of the Arab political system in most Arab countries, and they succeded in assassinating virtually every resistance leader in the history of the Western-Zionist colonialism.

They succeded in blowing up Hezbollah pagers and assassinating Nasrallah. Heck, they even succeded in making Gal Gadot a movie star.
