History accelerates to a blurring speed as the US pursues ever more fanaticism and wars with Russia, Iran and possibly China look practically guaranteed. Soon, life as we knew it may look like a dream
By now you probably know my tendency for dire predictions (which have had a pretty good track record over the past year). But even I, long used to not thinking about Western and American policies in terms of sense and strategy, but rather impulse and lost sanity, find it almost impossible to grasp the full scope of what I’m going to call the crazy, for lack of a more suitable definition.
Because some of what the two-headed (blue and red) US government is doing makes no sense even within the bounds of normal fatal frivolity and astounding strategic stupidity.
When I was planning on writing my first major post about Trump’s second presidency, all of us were under the impression that at least the war in Ukraine was winding down, finally, after an astonishing loss of life, progress, and just normalcy. The economic prices of this war have been staggering for Europeans (Russians seem to have been harmed the least by it).
But then, out of nowhere, Biden popped out of his sarcophagus in no other place than the Amazonian forests and announced ‘he‘ was now allowing Ukraine to attack Russia with US-made long-range missiles, thank you, and have a lovely apocalypse.
