The 1 Fatal Mistake the Palestinians are Always Making

Internationalizing the struggle against Zionism has been Palestine's greatest success these past two years. Now, on the cusp of global victory, they are helping Israel to re-bilateralize Palestine

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, during a popular uprising that caught the attention of the world, the international community began to suspect that Israel had no real intention of respecting the Palestinians’ collective rights. It was then, against the backdrop of unforgettable raw photographs of Israeli cruelty and Palestinian bravery, that the image of the IDF as a daring, dashing military force of chicky and cocky superhuman commandos dissipated, and was replaced by a far less entertaining reality: it was a brutal occupying military force manned by a huge proportion of sadists who would recoil at no act of savagery.

Humanity was becoming ripe for a major change of heart of the Jewish state. But then, in perfect timing to kill a movement, Arafat was lured into signing the Oslo Accords.

The results was the removal of Palestine from world attention for more than 30 years (in the early 2000s, during the second intifada, Palestine made a short guest appearance, but then 9/11 happened, and it was back to sleep), and, what’s even worse: a formal Palestinians stamp of approval on the continued settlement activity and ethnic cleansing of the West Bank, Gaza, and east Jerusalem.

The ‘peace process‘ became the great facilitator of Palestine’s destruction.

In one fell swoop, the Palestinian cause, which began to have actual traction in world opinion, became dormant.

What Hamas is about to do right now is a repeat of that tragic generational mistake. Agreeing to accept Trump’s plan means Palestine is going to be buried alive in humanity’s consciousness, which the Zionists have been spending the past couple of months tightening their grip around.

They bought all the media and social media in the US. All of it.

It is going to prove such a decisively catastrophic choice that, once undertaken, Israel’s stupidity would remain the only option to save Palestinians from the gnawing claws of the Judeo-Christian, Bible-enamored colonial order.

When news first broke about Trump’s plan I was on my way to the airport, then across the Atlantic to Lisbon (and a week later, London). I was jetlagged for a couple of days, and not as sharp as I should have been. Because I didn’t get the meaning of what was happening, or, to be more precise: the cause for Trump’s sudden great urgency.

A day or two later, the picture became clearer, and muscle memory, as it were, kicked in.

Israel felt same urgency in the early 1990s and early 2000s, you see. And if there is really one source of urgency and panic for Zionist leadership, it is the fear of losing control of the narrative.

Israel knows that if it cannot meticulously manage Palestine’s image in the West’s opinion, it is bye bye, Israel. Western audiences must never know the truth of Palestine for if they do, it would mean the end of Israel, assured just like in the case of 1000 Iranian missiles raining simultaneously on every strategic point in occupied Palestine.

And what happened in September, with many countries recognizing Palestine and discussing Palestine at the UN General Assembly, with Israel attacking in Qatar and Arab and European states losing patience with Israel, and with growing demands for boycott in many venues, including the Eurovision and UEFA, brought Zionist very very close to the point of losing control of the narrative in a major way.

They had to do something, quickly, to put the genie back in the bottle. They had to unleash something so massive in its narrative-occupying capabilities, that the momentum built in September will again disappear in one fell swoop.

So what does Netanyahu make Trump do? Stage a final proposal to stop the war, and derail the entire Palestine conversation, giving all the small apparatchiks across the West, in music, sports, entertainment and, especially, the media, a sense of renewed edge: there’s a peace proposal on the table. Israel has agreed to compromise. Will Hamas take it? After all, they claim it’s a genocide, no?

Using an old Zionist trick, Israel and its puppet Trump re-bilateralized the Palestinian issue. Now, it is not something the international community needs to be involved in. Now, it is between Israel and Hamas, with the US using all its power as a vacuum machine, making sure Palestine remains isolated from the world and all the assistance it can offer it, and wants to offer it.

This is why agreeing to negotiate with Israel has been a tragic mistake on behalf of Hamas for a long time. They wasted precious time out of vanity and shortsightedness.

They think it is a battle between them and Israel, and they are terribly wrong. The war for Palestine belongs to all of humanity, and by trying to monopolize it they are damaging both sides of this equation: Palestine and humanity.

Let me explain.

This is not the the early 1990s or 2000s anymore. We are living in a politically different world entirely, much thanks to Palestine.

Thanks to Gaza and its suffering and heroism, millions have been awakened throughout the world and the West. The complicity of Western governments and the depth and breadth of Zionist control over Western systems have struck people with actual shock, but also a sense of urgency and immediacy without which the energy required for political change can never materialize.

Billions now see the connection between Zionism and the rising rule by machines and AI, just like they see clearly the link between Israel and the disastrous path the US has put itself on, namely a government by, for and of the military industrial complex and the super rich.

A revolution is brewing something beautiful and bountiful. Millions are taking to the streets. Some countries are already mostly out of the Zionist stranglehold, and some are advancing there at a slower pace, but on an unmistakable trajectory.

Nature is healing, for real, this time.

This is the time to fan the flames of anti-technofascism and anti-Zionism. To sing the praises of organized work, like we’ve seen Italy, with dockworkers pushing the entire country to a general strike.

This is the time to get people involved and enthused. This is the time to sound the battle cry: do you want to live a normal life? Do you want to have free speech? Do you expect accountability from your political representatives? Then you have to raise the flag of palestine, because otherwise you and your children are doomed: Zionism is the oppression in the West, and it has no plan to stop on its own.

This is the time to put the unresolved issue and open wound of Palestine smack at the center of world attention. To open all dams and let the water of resistance flow and bring life to every dry corner of our time’s political desert.

Israel and the US understand this, and they are panicking. Every day makes their position weaker, and their ability to control the global narrative less absolute ,despite all the billions they spend and the threats they make.

And just at this moment, Hamas falls into Israel’s trap, and agrees to make Palestine a Palestinian-Israeli issue, cutting off Palestine from the world, and the world from Palestine.

What they should do, and should have done, is the exact opposite. They should continue to walk the way of courage, and bring down all the walls between Palestine and humanity.

They should invite people and activists from the whole world to come to Palestine. They should call upon every conscientious human being to save the babies of Gaza. They should make Arab population feel that the fate of Gaza, and the fate of their own countries, is at a historic junction: make the right choice, and they will live. Stay indifferent, and survival is all but guaranteed.

Wallahi, there is no middle ground.

Negotiating with a genocider is legitimizing genocide

Israel wants the facade of a negotiation at this point only for its own sake (and to claim its military pressure paid off, weakening the case for genocide in the minds of the world’s many powerful idiots). It has to put a fake mask of agreement on what it has been doing, and Hamas is providing this, when Palestine’s triumph can almost be smelt already, and when Western societies are becoming desperate to make an impact on this, and punish Israel.

By agreeing to discuss, Hamas is killing this energy.

When Hamas agrees to negotiate with Israel after the Gaza Holocaust, it implies that what Israel has done is not considered an irrevocable breaking of all the rules. Negotiating after the holocaust makes it look like one event in along relationship.

This, too, is terribly detrimental for the Palestinian cause. What Hamas should be doing right now is making the entire world weep for Gaza. Instead, it is trying to maintain its image as an organization of strong men. And this is a big, big mistake.

Why is Hamas making this mistake?

The most obvious reason I can think of is that members of Hamas leadership do not appreciate the deep change that happened in global consciousness in the last two years. I think that in their mind, they still believe that they’re fighting the old battle with Israel and Zionism of the 1990s.

But that world and that Israel are forever gone. Humanity sees itself as a party to the fight against Zionist, and Israel has shed every fake facade and became the most literal manifestation of genocidal ambitions.

It will not stop, or barely even pause on its way to exterminating and ethnically cleansing Palestine.

I am not sure Hamas understands this part.

A similar mistake was made by Nasrallah. He did not fully appreciate the nature of the beast that Sinawar had unleashed, which must be led to its demise for Palestine and the Levant to survive. For this reason, Hezbollah held back till it was too late. Nasrallah may have missed the fact that the post 07/11 Israel prefered death to what it saw as humiliation (which, for normal people, would just translate for a balance of power).

Hezbollah seems to have moved away from such a misconception, but I am not sure Hamas has, too. It feels to me like they are expecting Israel to stand by its obligations, and be satisfied with just a limited destruction of Palestine.

It should be very clear to them it won’t.

Pride could also be a part of it: Hamas wants to feel like they own Gaza, or the key to the Palestinian issue. What they don’t get is that by assuming this perspective they are, in fact, helping to isolate Palestine from the rest of the world.

It is existential for Palestine that the Palestinian issue will not be perceived as something the the Palestinians solve with Israel and the US. Otherwise, they may be paving the way for the final end of Palestine with their own hands.

Keeping humanity out means Israel will be free to murder Palestine and use its control over Western media to keep everything in the dark - including in the West Bank, while using false arguments based on supposed Hamas breaches of the agreement. A total catastrophe.

And if anyone thinks that Turkey and Saudi Arabia will intervene, I have some seaside real estate on the moon to sell you.

The alternative way

Palestinian representatives of all parties and organization need to adopt a unified position: they will not, under any circumstances, negotiate directly with Israel.

After a century of creeping occupation, forced axile, and multiple genocides and attempted genocides, there can be and should be no trust in Israel and the US.

What the Palestinians should do instead is insist that the UN General Assembly must be part of any solution for Palestine. And they should demand the creation of a peacekeeping mission that will be stationed in Gaza and the West Bank to protect Palestinians from israel ASAP.

No negotiations. Alarm and conditions.

Without international involvement and protection, Palestine can not and will not survive, and no Palestinian organization should delude itself that they can handle it. It is in the interest of Palestine and humanity for them to admit they can’t, and to plead with humanity to take on their case.

Palestine must not be expected to negotiate with a party that has shown a sustained and deliberate will and capability to exterminate it. It should cut all direct ties with Israel and the US, which, in turn, has shown itself to be Israel’s unconditional accomplice and arch-enabler of the Gaza Holocaust.

It is of the utmost importance that now, at this crucial moment, Palestinian representatives and movements do not delude themselves and their people into believing a direct negotiation with Israel and the US, outside the reach and jurisdiction of the international community, may bring them anything but death and destruction.

This could be the last big mistake Palestine makes.

Hope in (Zionist) stupidity

What we can really hope for is a new Israeli attack on Iran, which will send the Zionist entity into such disarray, that the occupation will not be maintainable anymore. InshaAllah, we’ll see this soon, and some tenacity and perseverance among Palestine supporters everywhere in the face of a psychological warfare campaign for Israel.

We need to be strong for Palestine to be free. And it is closer than ever.
